Elaine Seamans
Founder, At-Choo Foundation
Elaine Seamans describes herself as a "nutty-passionate," lifelong animal lover, with a particular soft spot for adorable, squatty-bodied dachshunds.
After all, how can you not love those wittle legs and long bodies?

Her deep connection to animals began in childhood, growing up in a small farming town in Northern California. It was there she unknowingly found the spark for her life's purpose: a dedication to the well-being of animals.

After relocating to Los Angeles, Elaine devoted thousands of hours volunteering at one of the county's many overcrowded shelters. If you had anything to do with the Los Angeles rescue community, you knew Elaine!
And even if you didn't, you STILL probably knew Elaine... as her efforts landed her in local and national outlets, such as Uncommon Goods, Voyage LA Magazine, The Dodo, ABC News, and more.
But Elaine didn’t just step up to do "regular" volunteer duties, such as walking dogs, cleaning kennels, etc...
Oh no...she organized large-scale adoption events, conducted interviews with potential adopters, networked dogs who were urgent need of medical care, and worked tirelessly to change the stigma surrounding animal shelters. For her, the animal shelter was a symbol of hope and she wanted everyone to feel that way.

However, after learning about the countless homeless, neglected, and abused street dogs (and cats) just three hours south in Mexico, Elaine knew another mission was calling her name.
With a heart full of nervous determination, she sprang into action and headed straight to the streets of Tijuana, committed to making a difference.
In 2015, Elaine founded the At-Choo Foundation. An organization dedicated to raising critical funds to rescue the most vulnerable and injured dogs (and cats) off the streets of Mexico. The ones alone and in dire need of medical care.

These dogs have experienced lives full of pain, fear, and abandonment, but thanks to Elaine and her incredible team, they are given a second chance. They are not just ‘dogs’, they are Professors of Love teaching life lessons. Her goal is to make sure they are respected, cherished, and treated with kindness and compassion. They are family members.

To date, Elaine has saved thousands of animals and her incredible work knows no bounds.
During the rare chance you catch Elaine enjoying some downtime, you'll likely find her relaxing with her own squatty bodied rescue dog, named The General!
